PROGRAMS
- WE offer mentoring and referral services free of charge on a one-on-one basis.
- WE offer a telephone "stress-line" to aid in
parent/child crises.
- WE offer the WHO Program, "We
Help Ourselves", to
elementary-aged school children to teach them to stay safe and protect themselves.
- WE offer Parenting Classes-These classes are free and teach
parents the developmental stages of children and helps build skills to respond in a more
positive manner.
- WE offer Teen Parenting, a "nurturing" program
provided to pregnant and parenting teens.
- WE offer "Baby Think It Over"- A program using
infant simulators for pre-teens to help them understand the responsibilities of caring for
a baby.
- We offer a Speaker’s Bureau to increase the awareness of child abuse prevention
programs. To quote Judge McCown, "Put your money in the
playpen, not the State Pen".
